Compare the full ownership cost, not just the purchase price or energy bill. Include depreciation, finance charges, insurance, registration, scheduled maintenance, repairs, tires, parking, charging equipment, and fuel or electricity. A higher-priced EV can still cost less over several years if it has low energy costs and holds its value well.
