What causes the lane departure / lane keeping light?

- Dirty windshield in front of the camera. The camera usually sits behind the windshield near the mirror. Grime, frost or a sticker in its view blinds it.
- Poor or missing lane markings. Worn paint, roadworks, snow cover or heavy rain leave the camera nothing to follow.
- Camera calibration off. After a windshield replacement or front-end repair, the camera often needs recalibrating to aim correctly.
